Her professional journey began in 2002, when she met Monique Schlienger, founder of the prestigious Cinquième Sens school in Paris. Under Schlienger's guidance, Bourgeois spent three years mastering the art of perfumery, learning about raw materials, composition, and olfactory structure. This formative period led to seven years working as both perfumer and instructor at Cinquième Sens, before she co-founded the independent fragrance studio FLAIR in 2012, alongside Martine Denisot and later Anne-Sophie Behaghel.
