He began his professional journey at Expressions Parfumées in Grasse, where he spent over 15 years mastering every aspect of fragrance creation, from fine fragrance to cosmetics and home scents. This extensive experience gave him a deep understanding of how different product categories require distinct compositional approaches. He later expanded his expertise at Drom Fragrances and CPL Aromas before taking on his current role as Senior Perfumer at TechnicoFlor, where he continues to push creative boundaries.

Ricord’s artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that “perfume is, above all, an emotion,” and that successful fragrance creation requires both technical mastery and emotional intelligence. He draws inspiration from music, painting, and travel, often comparing his work to that of a film composer crafting the perfect soundtrack for a scene. In addition to his creative work, he also contributes to education as a professor at the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris.
