Vanina Muracciole’s journey into perfumery began with the intoxicating scents of her childhood in Corsica, where the aromatic maquis landscape—filled with notes of lemon, jasmine, and fig—shaped her sensory world. Born in Paris to Italian and Corsican parents, she discovered her passion early on, sparked by the captivating sillage of Hermès’ Bel Ami.

This defining moment led her to study chemistry and later attend ISIPCA in Versailles. Her professional path took her from Milan to Grasse, where she worked at MANE, refining her technical expertise. She later collaborated with master perfumer Thomas Fontaine at Jean Patou, deepening her understanding of classical perfumery.

In 2012, Muracciole established her own studio in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris. With access to over 2,000 raw materials, she creates fragrances that translate personal stories and emotions into scent. Her inspirations range from everyday experiences to colors, music, and her extensive collection of vintage perfume books.

Her signature style blends tradition with modernity, resulting in fragrances that are original, harmonious, and deeply evocative. Her Corsican heritage is reflected in vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired compositions. She is particularly known for her work with musk and ambroxan, which she transforms into soft, sensual, and woody-amber accords. Her innovative musk base Origino, developed for Jeroboam, highlights her ability to reinterpret classic materials in new ways.

Muracciole’s portfolio includes collaborations with renowned niche houses such as Jovoy Paris, Jeroboam, Le Galion, and Masque Milano. Her partnership with François Hénin led to the creation of the entire Jeroboam collection, built around her signature Origino musk accord.

For Jovoy, she created memorable fragrances like Fire At Will, a refined vanilla composition that balances gourmand sweetness with elegant restraint. With Incident Diplomatique, she explored a bold woody structure featuring two types of vetiver from Haiti and Java, while Touche Finale offers a powdery-floral reinterpretation of classic themes. Aqua Memorabilis showcases her modern take on citrus, blending juicy clementine with a sophisticated woody-amber base.

Her talent for crafting intimate, skin-like fragrances is exemplified in Musc Pallas, where velvety peach meets clean musk to create a composition that feels like a second skin. Each creation reflects her philosophy of translating even the most subtle human experiences into scent.

As a member of the International Society of Perfumer-Creators, Muracciole continues to push the boundaries of niche perfumery.
