Serge Majoullier’s career is deeply rooted in the birthplace of modern perfumery. Born in Grasse, France, he developed an early appreciation for natural raw materials before pursuing studies in chemistry and economics. This scientific foundation led him to MANE, where he began in the analysis and chromatography department before moving into essential oils and floral extracts. His technical expertise and creative talent eventually established him as one of the company’s leading perfumers.

Rather than following a purely artistic path, Majoullier built his reputation by combining fragrance creation with research and innovation. From 1995 to 2002, he served as MANE’s Perfumery Director before returning to full-time composition while remaining closely involved in raw material development. His work on MANE’s Jungle Essence™ supercritical extraction technology helped expand the palette of natural ingredients available to perfumers, allowing for more authentic and expressive creations.
