Rosine Courage represents a new generation of perfumers who combine scientific knowledge with artistic sensitivity. She began her journey studying chemistry before attending the prestigious ISIPCA, where she spent several years mastering raw materials and formulation techniques. She later expanded her expertise at Biolandes, gaining deep insight into natural ingredients and sustainable fragrance creation.
Currently working as a perfumer at Sozio, Courage has built a reputation for her thoughtful and versatile approach. She collaborates with niche brands such as the Norwegian label Son Venïn and the Italian house Laboratorio Olfattivo, demonstrating her ability to translate diverse creative visions into compelling fragrances.
Her philosophy views perfumery as a language of expression. She draws inspiration from memories, everyday experiences, and culinary influences. The scents of southern France—oleander, pine, labdanum, and eucalyptus—are particularly influential in her work. This connection to nature is reflected in her preference for high-quality natural materials, especially jasmine absolute and rose absolute.
At the same time, she embraces a balanced use of natural and synthetic ingredients. While she values the richness of naturals like tonka bean, she considers synthetics essential tools in modern perfumery. Ambroxan, in particular, fascinates her for its warm, skin-like character. This balanced approach allows her to work creatively within regulatory frameworks while maintaining olfactory integrity.
