Quentin Bisch is one of the most influential perfumers of his generation, yet his path into the world of fragrance was anything but traditional. Born in Strasbourg in 1983, he initially pursued a career in music and theatre, even running his own theatre company for several years. Without a formal scientific background, Bisch entered the industry through determination and curiosity. He reached out to established perfumers, eventually gaining the attention of Jean Guichard, who recognized his potential. This led to an apprenticeship at Robertet in Grasse under Michel Almairac, where he learned the fundamentals of raw materials and composition.

His artistic background continues to define his creative process. Bisch approaches perfumery like a performance, building each fragrance around a strong concept, developing it with layers and contrasts, and introducing unexpected twists. This theatrical approach gives his work a distinctive and modern character.

With over a hundred creations and collaborations with both luxury and niche brands, Quentin Bisch has become a key figure in contemporary perfumery.

Bisch is known for blending innovative molecules with traditional techniques. One of his most notable creations is Bois Impérial, which features Akigalawood to create a bold, modern woody fragrance that has become a niche bestseller.

His work with Etat Libre d’Orange highlights his experimental side. La Fin du Monde combines unexpected accords such as popcorn, iris, and smoky notes, pushing the boundaries of conventional perfumery. Hermann à mes Côtés me Paraissait une Ombre demonstrates his ability to translate literary concepts into complex olfactory experiences.

With Attaquer le Soleil – Marquis de Sade, Bisch showcases his mastery of focusing on a single raw material—in this case labdanum—transforming it into a rich and layered composition.
