Nathalie Templer’s journey into perfumery began with a deep fascination for chemistry and the molecular structure of scent. Born in France, she started her career in Grasse, where she gained extensive experience in production, quality control, and research, building a strong foundation in the technical aspects of fragrance creation.

A defining chapter of her career was her ten years at MANE as a perfumer analyst. There, she worked with advanced techniques such as gas chromatography and mass spectrometry to analyze both natural and synthetic raw materials. This scientific background gave her a profound understanding of how fragrance molecules behave and interact.

In 2016, a turning point came when she joined Expression Parfumée, later acquired by Givaudan. This transition marked her shift from analysis to creation, allowing her artistic vision to fully develop. Now based in Dubai, she has become known for blending European perfumery traditions with the richness of Middle Eastern olfactory culture.

Templer’s creative approach is deeply rooted in her scientific expertise. She believes in balanced compositions that combine natural and synthetic ingredients, often favoring clean, minimalist formulas where every component serves a clear purpose. The result is fragrances that are both innovative and wearable.

Her portfolio includes collaborations with prestigious brands such as Parfums de Marly, Sospiro Perfumes, and Arabiyat. One of her most celebrated creations, Greenley for Parfums de Marly, exemplifies her ability to merge freshness with depth. The fragrance opens with vibrant green apple and bergamot, evolves into woody and aromatic notes like cedarwood and petitgrain, and settles into a base of oakmoss and musk.

Her versatility is also evident in her work for Sospiro, including Aira and Il Padrino. With her YANI collection, she drew inspiration from Middle Eastern cities such as Tehran and Isfahan, creating fragrances that reflect a harmonious blend of cultural influences.

Her upbringing in Versailles shaped her appreciation for earthy notes like oakmoss, while her life in Dubai has enriched her palette with oriental depth and richness. She finds inspiration in memories and emotions, translating personal experiences into universal olfactory stories.

Collaboration plays a central role in her work. Templer values the dialogue between perfumer and client, viewing fragrance creation as a partnership.
