Emmanuelle Moeglin turned her early fascination with perfume into a clear mission: to make fragrance creation accessible to everyone. Born in the Champagne region of France, she began her path by studying chemistry before continuing her education at the prestigious ISIPCA in Versailles. There, she refined her olfactory skills through internships at Givaudan and L'Oréal.
Her career took her across major cities including Paris, New York, Barcelona, and eventually London. In these international roles, she worked as a fragrance evaluator and trend consultant for companies such as L'Oréal, Puig, and Symrise. These experiences shaped her understanding of global scent preferences while also revealing gaps within the fragrance market.
In 2015, she founded the Experimental Perfume Club in London, originally conceived as an open-access perfume laboratory. Her idea was straightforward yet unconventional: to remove the mystery surrounding perfumery and enable people to understand and develop their own fragrance preferences. This educational concept reflects her belief that knowledge about scent should not remain limited to industry insiders.
Her creative style is defined by minimalist compositions built on carefully selected ingredients, inspired by perfumers such as Jean-Claude Ellena. She often works with iris for its powdery and woody nuances, as well as ambroxan for its smooth, amber-like depth. Fragrances like Velvet Incense highlight her ability to combine contrasts, bringing together fresh bergamot, smoky frankincense, and soft iris into a balanced composition.
