Corinna Kuhnert’s path to becoming a perfumer began with a formative childhood experience. At the age of nine, a visit to Hawaii introduced her to the intense scents of tropical flowers, as well as the philosophy of “Aloha,” centered on mindfulness, love, and respect. These early impressions laid the foundation for her later creative vision.

Initially, however, Kuhnert pursued a different career, working successfully in architectural firms in Copenhagen and Berlin. Over time, she felt drawn toward a more intuitive path and turned to psycho-spiritual healing practices. Together with her husband, Jörn Klaas, she trained many students in this field. These experiences continue to shape her approach to perfumery, where she views fragrance not only as an aesthetic creation but also as a tool for emotional well-being and balance.

In 2020, she deepened her expertise by studying under Mandy Aftel in Berkeley, a leading figure in natural perfumery. There, she specialized in working exclusively with natural materials and became a certified Slow Scent® teacher. This training complemented her intuitive understanding with strong technical skills.

In 2021, Kuhnert co-founded the brand Aloha Senses with her husband. From their workshop in Kiel, she creates handcrafted perfumes in small batches using only natural ingredients—essential oils, absolutes, resins, and CO₂ extracts of plant origin. She deliberately avoids synthetic substances, phthalates, parabens, and artificial additives.

Her signature style reflects her deep connection to Hawaiian culture and her extensive travels around the world. Over many years, she has built a unique collection of rare natural essences. Fragrances such as Amber – Warm Embrace, Honi – Narcotic Kiss, and Mana – Luxurious Glow embody these influences, telling olfactory stories of nature, warmth, and spiritual depth.

For Kuhnert, each creation goes beyond scent alone—it is meant to uplift the mood and support emotional harmony. Her perfumes are designed not only to smell beautiful but also to enhance well-being.

In addition, she shares her knowledge through workshops and training programs, inspiring others to create their own fragrances and discover the power of natural essences.
