Carine Certain Boin developed a fascination with fragrance early in life, perceiving perfume as something magical—capable of evoking imagination and delivering deep sensory pleasure. This early passion led her to study at the prestigious Givaudan Perfumery School, where she graduated in 2012 and began her professional journey.
Since then, she has spent more than a decade creating fragrances at Givaudan and is currently based in New York City. She often describes perfumers as “aroma magicians,” a perspective that defines her artistic approach. Her creations are marked by intriguing contrasts, balancing softness with intensity, and exploring a wide range of olfactory landscapes—from warm woods and spices to refined floral compositions.
Her inspiration comes from nature, personal memories, and the emotional power of scent. As a dancer and yoga practitioner, she brings a sense of energy and harmony into her creative work—qualities that are often reflected in her fragrances. Certain Boin also believes that even the most minimal compositions can evolve into complex, multi-layered experiences on the skin over time.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with a wide array of international brands, including Goldfield & Banks, Adidas, Fragonard, and Desigual. Her versatility allows her to adapt to different creative briefs while maintaining a recognizable signature style defined by freshness, depth, and contrast.
