Pierre-Constantin Guéros’ passion for fragrance began in his childhood in Paris. Growing up around his father’s fashion atelier, he was surrounded by the rich scents of leather, fabrics, and polished wood. These early sensory experiences shaped his appreciation for materials and laid the foundation for his creative identity.

After studying chemistry and biology, he discovered his true calling at ISIPCA in Versailles, where he learned to merge scientific precision with artistic creativity. He gained experience at companies such as Synarome and Drom before becoming a professional perfumer in 2003.

His career has taken him across the globe—from Munich to New York, Dubai, and back to Paris. His time in the Middle East proved particularly influential, immersing him in rich, opulent fragrance traditions. At Symrise, he played a key role in establishing the Dubai fragrance center and was named Senior Perfumer in 2019. His work includes collaborations with major brands such as Givenchy, Carolina Herrera, Roberto Cavalli, and Initio.

Guéros is known for creating bold yet refined fragrances built on contrast, texture, and emotional depth. He enjoys blending opposing ingredients, exploring how they interact and ultimately achieve balance. For him, no combination is impossible if harmony is carefully crafted.

His preferred materials include sandalwood, vetiver, leather, patchouli, bergamot, and geranium. Lavender holds a special place in his palette, as it embodies multiple facets—from fresh and aromatic to warm and powdery.

One of his signature creations, Zafar, reflects his mastery of oriental complexity. The fragrance combines bright citrus notes with spices and florals, settling into a rich base of oud, amber, and musk, enhanced by touches of vanilla and tonka bean.

Guéros draws inspiration from everyday moments and global travels—whether it’s the stillness of the desert, a snowy landscape, or a quiet morning coffee. His passion for cooking also influences his work, as both disciplines rely on balance and harmony between elements.
