Elia Chiche represents a new wave of French perfumers who seamlessly combine scientific expertise with artistic creativity. Her journey into perfumery began with a Master’s degree in organic chemistry at Paris-Sud University, where she developed a strong understanding of molecular structures—knowledge that would later shape her creative approach.
Building on this scientific background, she trained at ISIPCA, one of France’s most prestigious perfume schools, where she mastered the art of fragrance composition. Early in her career, she gained valuable experience at major fragrance houses such as Givaudan, Symrise, and Robertet, refining both her technical skills and her personal creative vision.
In 2023, Chiche joined Flair, an independent perfume design studio in Paris founded by Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel. This move marked a shift toward greater creative freedom and closer collaboration with innovative niche brands. At Flair, she is able to explore unconventional olfactory concepts while maintaining the scientific rigor that defines her work.
Beyond traditional perfumery, Chiche is also involved in olfactory art installations and performances. She creates multisensory experiences for contemporary art spaces, including collaborations with the Fondation Espace Écureuil in Toulouse. These projects push the boundaries of how scent can be experienced and interpreted.
